RESOURCES
For students and early-career professionals interested in animation, graphics, and technical roles in film and games, here are a few resources and opportunities to look into.
Pixar in a Box is a great introduction to animation and production pipelines, offering accessible lessons on how animated films are made from story through final image.
STEM Outreach & Volunteering
I encourage exploring local organizations dedicated to supporting girls and underrepresented groups in STEM. These organizations can provide meaningful ways to both give back and gain experience communicating technical ideas to broader audiences.
SIGGRAPH Student Volunteer Program is an excellent way to gain exposure to the industry, meet professionals, and learn about different areas of computer graphics and animation. Attending SIGGRAPH itself is also a valuable networking and learning experience.
Organizations like Women in Animation provide insight into the animation industry, creative career paths, and community connection within the arts and film space.
